My philosophy for teaching and music is this: Music makes people happy, and we should have fun making music. My goal is to spread the joy of music to anyone who is willing to learn.
I have a bachelor's degree in music history and literature. I am a proud member of Sigma Alpha Iota (SAI) Women's Music Fraternity, and have contributed Christopher Newport University's chapter of Collegiate Music Educator's National Conference (CMENC). I was also a member of the university band, women's choir, chamber choir, and was one of the founders of CNU's first world music ensemble, Kongomana.

Information about lessons:
- Voice: $25-30 per lesson (30-45 minutes, depending on student's age & ability)
- Piano: beginner students only, $20 per lesson (30 minutes)
- Music books/materials will depend on student's progress and goals
